Getting other quotes

(Anonymous)

I get this one a lot, and I am not sure, what the best way to respond is... The prospect says "I am getting another two quotes, you know!". How should I answer?

Hi,
what's wrong with getting other quotes ?
I always get a couple fo quotes before I buy anything.
If you are worried about the opposition undercutting your price you need to build the value of your offer and sell yourself so the prospects will want to come back and deal with you.
We have just renovated our house and I can assure you we did not always go with the lowest offer, it was more about who we were most comfortable dealing with and would do the best job for us. I think many people would buy the same way.

OFFER GOOD QUALITY AND SERVICE
by: JOSE BORDOY

I THINK MUCH OF IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOR ARE SELLING. IF YOUR PRODUCT IS QUITE UNEXPENSIVE AND CAN EASILY BE THROWN AWAY, THEN PRICE IS AN ISSUE. BUT IF YOUR PRODUCT DEMANDS AFTER SALE SERVICE, AND YOU HAVE TO KEEP IN CONTACT WITH YOUR CLIENTS, THEN THE PERCEPTION THEY HAVE ON YOU WILL BE MORE IMPORTANT THAN PRICE. IF THEY CAN TRUST YOU AND YOU OFFER THEM A GOOD QUALITY AND LONG LASTING PRODUCT, AND GOOD SERVICE, THEN YOU MUST NOT WORRY THAT MUCH ABOUT QUOTATIONS, BUT HOW YOU SELL YORSELF INSTEAD.
