I feel that salespeople need to change because customer change. The things that motivate customers to buy change so the way a salesperson tries to press those buttons has to change.
this is somewhat aligned with my thinking.
You can get good sales results with just enthusiasm and and willingness to learn.
Then as you learn various sales skills like answering objections and sales rapport and how to establish value for what you offer you can get much better results.
For optimum results in sales I believe you need to be adept at reading people and communicating specifically to them in their language.
