Close sales better
Answer
Salespeople are so fixated on "closing"
If you do the other things really well closing sort of just happens.
If you want to close sales better you need to focus more on "opening the sales conversation", on helping your prospects and building better relationships.
These are choices you can easily make.
You'll get a lot further in sales by being interested than by trying to be interesting.
(Interested in the prospect or customer that is)
Generate a genuine curiosity about what they do and how they do it BEFORE you start looking for their "pain points" or their "ideal future"
In terms of helping I always remember the words of Zig Ziglar ...
"You can have everything you want in life if you just help enough other people get what they want"
I always focused on helping people.
If I got a rejection in a sales call I reasoned that they either weren't ready yet or my offer didn't help.
Closing was just a natural outcome of being curious, looking for a way to help and building rapport.
The last one is made a lot easier if you know how to build sales rapport
and how to work out what people want and how they communicate.
You may like to take a look at responsive customers for help with this last one..
Hope this helps, Greg
