Hi Nirmal,
can happen, depends what you are selling. If they suspect you are calling to sell them a phone service and they are about to sit down for dinner you could well get rejected immediately.

Maybe start your calls with, "Hi Mr Jones, is it a convenient time to talk?" Most likely the response you'll get is, "About what?" Then you can discuss your offer.
