Selling when your company is not liked

by Chris

How do I deal with my company's negative associations? (not a well liked company)

Answer
This can be done but it takes a lot of courage and integrity.

You have to have your prospects understand that they are dealing with YOU. First, acknowledge the problems that have given rise to the negative associations and give your word that you'll do everything you can to make it right.

Then you have to do whatever you can at your company to make sure your company delivers.

Be prepared for some disappointments. Be prepared for some arguments with people in your company. Be proactive as much as you can, that is to say prevent problems from happening rather than reacting to problems that occur.

It is not an easy task but one that will make you a better sales person.

Good luck, Greg
