Now that struck me as really interesting. I would normally have expected the two senior people to travel together. Furthermore, during the drive to lunch the CEO invited me to a business function at his house on Friday night! Unfortunately, I had to be back in my hometown because my company hadan important overseas visitor arriving and I had a family function on the weekend.

The staggering thing about this to me was that I had said very little during the hour we had been in that meeting!

Over lunch, I concentrated on building Rapport between my CEO and the German CEO. Yes, it is possible to do that!

The following Monday I got a call from my CEO telling me we must have made a great impression on our German friend. Apparently, the German had called my CEO the morning after our meeting and invited him to an industry function at his house on Friday night.
