since you are asking about attracting customers I'm going to assume you are not wanting to cold call.
Jeffrey Gitomer (a noted sales writer and speaker) often talks about running an information night where you educate people about your product. If you set it up the right way people will come to you.
And the major principle behind all that is to be a recourse to your customers and prospects.
Back when I was selling B2B I used to get calls out-of-the-blue all the time (and so did my sales colleague in the office) from people who I had never met asking advice on how to find a certain product. They called me (or my co-worker) because someone in the industry had recommend that we would either have the product or head them in the right direction to find it.
They called because they were told by our customers that we would be helpful.
And if I can quote Zig Ziglar. "You can everything you want if you help enough other people get what they want"
